Although this is our "Best of Zim" safari, we actually start with 2 nights in Zambia on the banks of the Zambezi at Toka Leya taking it easy and exploring the Zambezi River and Victoria Falls, before heading into Zimbabwe and the real Wildlife part of this tour.
Our time in Zimbabwe is split between 2 regions - Hwange National Park and Mana Pools.
Hwange is Zimbabwe's largest national park and within it the Makalolo Concession offers some of the best game viewing in Africa.
Mana Pools lies at the heart of the Zambezi valley and offers spectacular river views as well as epic game viewing on the floodplains and forest areas.

DAY 1 :
ARRIVAL - LIVINGSTONE AIRPORT
Upon arrival in Livingstone, we will be met by a Wilderness Safaris representative and driven to Toka Leya - home for the first two nights. Set on the banks of the Zambezi River, Toka Leya is far enough from Livingstone to ensure a tranquil, authentic bush experience, yet close enough for guests to enjoy all the many activities in the greater Victoria Falls area. Toka Leya is a good opportunity to relax and unwind at the start of our safari.
DAY 2 :
TOKA LEYA
Guided tours of the Victoria Falls, sunset river cruises and other activities based around the Zambezi River will take up our time in this region. At Toka Leya, we will focus on photographing the falls and also get a chance to photograph hippos, elephants, crocodiles and aquatic birdlife from the water.
DAY 4 - 6 :
KWETSANI
From Kalahari Plains we board a light aircraft again and head for the Delta and Kwetsani Camp. Kwetsani offers the perfect Okavango ‘combination’ experience. Its extremely remote location gives access to both water and dry land areas, allowing guests to see all aspects of the Delta’s makeup. Accommodation is in unique tree-house style tents, which provide exceptional views from their elevated positions, looking out over floodplains dotted with game. Full days of safari activities with game drives, mokoro and boat rides on offer.
DAY 7-9 :
VUMBURA PLAINS
From Kwetsani, its another short light aircraft flight north-east to Vumbura Plains. This modern-style safari camp is our home for our last 3 nights of this safari.
At Vumbura we will spend most of time on game drives and focus our attention on the resident large predators of the area. Once again early morning and afternoon activities will take up most of our time with some editing work and tutorials in the comfort of the lodge during the day.
DAY 10 :
DEPARTURE
Unfortunately this is our last morning on safari, and after a morning drive, and a hearty breakfast, it''s time for one last flight over the delta and back to Maun.
